Who is Indivisible Denton?

 

We are a pro-democracy, non-partisan, Denton-based organization aligned with the goals of Indivisible, the national organization that formed in 2016-2017 in the aftermath of the first Trump administration. 

 

We are teachers, accountants, business owners, students, retail workers, scientists, retirees, church members, and much more. We are your friends, your neighbors, your colleagues.

 

And we care. 

 

What We Stand For

 

Our focus is to stand for democracy, and the freedom of all peoples to peacefully live, work, worship, love, and pursue the American dream of happiness and prosperity without fear. Our pledge is to stand with and speak for those in our community who either cannot or fear to speak out. 

 

Our goal is to peacefully raise awareness of policies that cause harm to those in our community, and positively advocate for policies that promote equity, fairness, and justice for all. 

 

We also believe that the strength of any community lies in coming together. When we are isolated, it is easy to miss what’s around us. Whether it’s how we can help, or how others can help us, when we come together, we are that much stronger a force for good.
